Japan iron and Steel Institute (JISF) comment on October 30, European Commission to impose anti-dumping duty on oriented electrical steel, which was not right decision to made. However, Japan made it clear that it would will not threat the EU industry, but the Commission found that Japan imports causes serious injury to EU industry, decided to adopt anti-dumping measures.

On October 30, the European Commission decided to impose anti-dumping duties 35.9%~39.0%, on oriented electrical steel imports from Japan. Meanwhile, EU also imposed anti-dumping duties 21.5%~36.6% from China, those for Korea was 22.5%, United States was 22% and Russia was 21.6% accordingly.
