EU CBAM import quota to be revised from 50 tons to 250 tons

The European Union's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) has proposed the latest amendment to approve an import quota from 50 tons to 250 tons, and the pressure of carbon licenses was slightly reduced for importers. However, exporters were still striving to obtain suitable conditions from the European market.

Experts indicated that the European importers would continue to prioritize purchasing products that comply with the CBMC requirements. It is urgent for exporters to export products which meet the CBAM standards while effectively optimizing the free quota to reduce import costs.
