The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has extended the 15.5% anti-dumping (AD) duty on hot-deformed seamless pipes made of corrosion-resistant steel (stainless steel) originating in China until June 9, 2030.

This decision followed a repeated AD investigation, initiated on September 25, 2024, due to the impending expiration of the previous measure. The investigation was launched based on a complaint from major pipe manufacturers within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), including Volzhsky Pipe Plant JSC, Pervouralsk Pipe Plant JSC, and Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant JSC.

The AD duty, applied to stainless steel seamless pipes of a circular cross-section with an outside diameter of up to 650mm, aims to protect the EAEU's domestic pipe industry from unfair competition. The products involved are under HS codes 7304 49 100 0, 7304 49 930 1, 7304 49 930 9, 7304 49 950 1, 7304 49 950 9, and 7304 49 990 0.
