Reportedly, China Steel Corp. (CSC) and Chung Hung Steel (CHS) will release new prices for next Jan/Feb in next week.

Affected by the appreciated NT dollar, raising raw material costs and Korean peninsula’s confliction, it’s predicted that the decrease scope may not as large as the previous expectation.

At present, it’s rumored that CSC’s prices of hot rolled steel might dip by NT$1,000/ton (US$33/ton); that of CHS would decline by NT$800/ton (US$26/ton).

However, CSC indicated that the company hasn’t had any decision yet, facing the rumors for the market.
