According to statistics, Chinese bauxite consumption totaled around 7.1 million tons in July, dropping by 3.0% compared to the previous month, also down by 12.2% from the same month a year ago.

In the first 7 months of this year, the consumption of bauxite in China amounted to 54 million tons roughly, sliding by 5.0% compared to the same period of last year.

The statistics showed that the consumption of domestic bauxite in Shanxi accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 3.3 million tons, a month-on-month decrease of 2.7%.
