Chinese domestic prices for HRC have climbed further by RMB250/ton this week due to strong demand and supply.

The new price for 4.5mm HRC now is quoted at around RMB5,650/ton while it was RMB$5,400/ton last week. Current average prices of stokes are around RMB5,350~5,400/ton.

One China trader said that stock materials from April production has almost sold out and now have to buy May production at higher rate. Domestic steel mills plan to increase June prices by RMB280/ton on continued strong demand.
