The US has implemented new tariffs, imposing 25% duties on imports from Canada and Mexico and 20% on Chinese imports, affecting more than US$918 billion in imports from the former two nations.

In response, China announced tariffs of 10-15% on US agricultural products, including chicken, wheat, soybeans, and pork. Canada imposed immediate 25% tariffs on C$30 billion worth of US imports, targeting products like American beer, wine, bourbon, and home appliances, with additional tariffs planned on another C$125 billion of US products if US measures remain in 21 days.

In terms of Mexico, President Claudia Sheinbaum was expected to announce her response on Tuesday.
