Indian iron ore company Bellary Iron Ores Pvt. Ltd. (BIOP) is to close down its business at Bellary.

It is reported that the company decides to transit its sales business to Bangalore due to the pressure from the president of Obulapuram, Gali Janardhan Reddy.

BIOP has started mine exploration since 2007, and it was once reported that Janardhan Reddy threatened the workers of BIOP and the case was investigated. Now it is under investigation again by teams from Dehradun.
