According to statistics released by the Newcastle Port Corporation, the Port of Newcastle’s coal exports totaled 3.1 million tons in the week ended on April 15th, rising by 20.9% form a week ago.

In the first 15 days of April, the Port of Newcastle exported 5.6 million tons of thermal and coking coal.

Thus, the port authority predicted that Port of Newcastle will ship 12.8 million tons in the whole of April.
