It is reported that Australia has initiated an exemption inquiry on certain goods the subject of anti-dumping and countervailing measures applying to certain zinc coated (galvanized) steel from China, South Korea and Taiwan.

This follows an exemption application submitted by CMC Steel Distribution (CMC) on 20 March 2014.

Dumping duties are applicable to all exporters from above mentioned countries except for Union Steel Co., Ltd from South Korea, Sheng Yu Steel Co., Ltd and Ta Fong Steel Co., Ltd from Taiwan.
