Australia decided to extend the anti-dumping (AD) measure on hot-rolled structural steel sections from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand for another five years. The measure is due to expire on November 20, 2024, and now it should continue after the date.

The duty rate is 12.2% for Japan, 7.9% for South Korea, 12.3% for Taiwan, and 7.7% for Thailand. Among them, the duty rate for Hyundai Steel Company is raised to 5.2% after November 20 this year, and the rate for Taiwan’s Dragon Steel Corporation and Thailand’s Siam Yamato Steel Siam Yamato Steel Co Ltd remains at 9.0% and 7.8%, respectively.

Exports from Taiwan’s Feng Hsin Steel Co Ltd, TS Steel Co Ltd, and Tung Ho Steel Enterprise Corporation are not subject to this AD measure.

The continuation of this AD measure is a result of the investigation based on an application filed by OneSteel Manufacturing Pty Ltd (Liberty Primary Steel).
