According to a survey from a consulting company Ducker Carlisle and released by the Aluminum Association, aluminum use in the US building and construction market could grow nearly 9% by 2027 compared to 2022.

The report showed that annual shipments will have an increase of more than 200 million pounds by 2027, most of which are driven by increased aluminum use in clean energy applications and commercial buildings.

Data from the Aluminum Association showed the construction industry is the third-largest market for North American aluminum producers, second only to the transportation and packaging industry.

The report also said governments are increasing their focus on energy efficiency through regulations, incentives, updated building codes, and enforcement.
