AK steel announced a 3 percent increase for some stainless steel products. The price of hot and cold rolled stainless steel sheets, strips, tubular quality and continuous mill plate will all be raised. The price increase is affective from March19. This will be done by reducing the functional discount rate by 1 percent. They say the price adjustment is based on strong demands and high costs. (Mar. 2)
