On June 20, 2022, Thailand’s Department of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce, announced that it initiated the first anti-dumping (AD) sunset review investigation on flat hot-rolled in coils and not in coils originating in China and Malaysia, following an application submitted by domestic companies on February 9, 2022.

During the investigation period, AD duties will be levied on the subject products in the form of deposits at the current rate of 23.57%-42.51% on the CIF value, with a validity period not exceeding one year.

The announcement came into force the day after it was issued.
