Canadian Royal Nickel Corporation (RNC) planned to launch the Dumont Nickel-Cobalt Project, and this investment would bring large quantities of nickel and cobalt to market in the next few years.

After the project completed, it would establish the world's fifth largest nickel sulfide production basement. At present, the deposit exploration contained about 690 million pounds of nickel resources, and the entire Dumont mine contained 975 million pounds of nickel resources.

The mine would continue producing for more than 30 years. The roads and railways near the mines were well-developed, and combined with low-cost power resources, these factors form a good supporting measure for operation.

The Dumont nickel mine was expected to be officially put into production in 2020, with an initial annual production forecast of 33,000 tons, which would increase to 51,000 tons five years later.
