According to the British Steel Company announced that the company has signed a deal to buy Fnsteel, the Dutch premium wire producer.

British Steel chief executive said the acquisition would make up for the company's current capacity, because Fnsteel and the UK Scunthorpe in the production of different specifications of wire, so can improve and enhance their value of products and customer service.

Currently, Fnsteel has nearly 300 employees in the Alblasserdam wire factory, with an annual turnover of £133 million. The company’s production range can produce with diameter of 5.5-30mm. The products are mainly used for automotive, construction and engineering industry.
