China Steel Corp. (CSC), one of the major blast furnace mills in Taiwan, has announced to keep its June price flat on April 18th. However, according to the updated news from Taiwan's pipe makers, CSC has actually cancelled NT$400/MT discount for its API pipe steel materials. The original concept for CSC to provide this NT$400/MT discount is to help Taiwanese welded pipe makers could pass though the order collection difficulty from U.S.'s API pipe anti-dumping case. Thus, CSC expected there is no reason for them to provide this price discount anymore since U.S. ITC has provided 0% AD rate to Taiwan's pipe makers. Most of Taiwanese API pipe makers said CSC's decision will cause their raw material cost to go up and may also cause them to face the difficulty again in order collection.
