According to report of Acero Argentino (AA), Argentina’s steel production has increased by 28% year-on-year to reach 5.13 million tons in 2010.

At the same, AA indicated the even the steel production increased in 2010; it was still lower than that in 2008. Also, it’s predicted that the steel production in 2011 wouldn’t exceed that in 2008.

Meanwhile, Argentina’s crude steel production in December, 2010 totaled 411.6 thousand tons, down by 8.3% month on month; however, it was up by 5.1% year on year.

Besides, the country’s hot rolled steel production in last December was 364.1 thousand tons, down by 19% month on month.

Also, Argentina’s iron ore output in last December was 362.2 thousand tons, down by 5.9% month on month; while, it has increased by 7.9% year on year. Furthermore, the total iron ore production in 2010 totaled 2.8 million tons, soared by 43.8% year on year.
