Alleima, a global manufacturer of high-value-added products in advanced stainless steels and special alloys as well as solutions for industrial heating, announced that it had reached an agreement to acquire Swedish high-quality steel products manufacturer Söderfors Steel Operations AB (Soderfors Steel). After this takeover, Alleima would expand capacities in hot-rolling of small diameter bars and profiles.

After the acquisition, Alleima will be capable of making bars with a diameter of less than 80 mm in high-performance materials as nickel base alloys and remelted stainless steel. It also expands the company's capacity to offer advanced materials for the medical and aerospace sectors.
