Chung Hung Steel Corporation (CHSC), a Taiwanese company primarily manufacturing hot and cold-rolled coils and steel pipes, declared its price lists for October. Among them, the hot-rolled and cold-rolled product prices kept flat, but the galvanized products increased by NT$800/ton.

Recently, the raw material demand for hot-dip galvanized steel iron (HGI) was higher than other flat steel; therefore, the upstream raw material suppliers increased their prices.

The market transaction was not popular from June to August, further decreasing downstream buyers’ stocks. As a result, they refilled their inventories in September. Also, many constructive projects started, so the demand for galvanized products increased.
