On January 13, 2022, the Tax Research Unit of the Ministry of Finance of India rescinded the existing anti-dumping (AD) measures on color-coated and pre-painted flat products of alloy and non-alloy steel originating in China and the EU.

The initial definitive AD duty was imposed on October 17, 2017, with a duty rate of US$822/ton, valid for a period of five years. This imposition was extended on October 8, 2021, based on the result of the sunset review launched on July 26, 2021.

The products involved are under HS codes 7210, 7212, 7225, and 7226, excluding steel sheets with thickness greater than or equal to 6 mm.
