The US Commercial Metals Company (CMC) will begin the construction of its third micro plant in Mesa, Arizona in early 2023. This was the first one in North America, called Triple M. It will be the world's first manufacturer of merchant bar quality products by using continuous production technology.

According to CMC's announcement, the new plant was expected to generate US$50 million in incremental revenue, and it will replace the existing rebar production capacity which had higher costs, so the company can meet the steel needs of the West Coast.

The latest technology of the EAF power system provided by Danieli will be adopted in this new plant, as well as Q-One technology, which will enable the company to directly connect electric furnaces and ladle furnaces to renewable energy. Coupled with continuous steelmaking technology, CMC will become one of the most efficient steel producers in the world.
