The Canadian International Trade Tribunal yesterday (June 2nd) initiated a review of its finding on May 20th, 2014 according to a request by the Minister of Finance made on April 30th, 2020. The products involved in this case are certain hot-rolled carbon steel plate imports from Brazil, Denmark, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, and South Korea.

The Minister of Finance also asked the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) to review the decision on individual exporters with de minimis dumping margins, such as Hyundai Steel Company. The Tribunal will have to review if there was any injury caused by these products following the result of the CBSA’s review.

The Tribunal will make a determination on October 14th, 2020.
