It was reported that US companies Insteel Wire Products (Insteel), Sumiden Wire Products Corporation (Sumiden) and Wire Mesh Corporation (WMC) filed a petition to the US Department of Commerce (DOC) on April 16th, 2020 for the anti-dumping duties on prestressed concrete steel wire strand (PC strand) from 15 countries, including Argentina, Colombia, Egypt, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates.

The claimed dumping rate was ranging from 17.7% to 194.4% for these 15 countries.

The product subject to this case was currently under HS code 7312.10.3010 and 7312.10.3012. The US International Trade Commission (USITC) will initiate an investigation on May 6th, 2020. The preliminary anti-dumping determination will be made on September 23rd, 2020, and the final anti-dumping determination will be made on December 7th, 2020.
