According to the statistics, the US imported around 224,000 tons of hot-dip galvanized sheet and strip in August, down by 3.9% compared to the previous month, also down by 19.8% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, Canada ranked first with most US’ hot-dip galvanized steel imports, totaling around 82,100 tons, dropping from 84,000 tons in July, but rising from 80,000 tons in August last year. The imports from Vietnam were around 24,000 tons; those from South Korea were around 20,000 tons; those from the UAE were around 16,000 tons; those from Taiwan were around 12,000 tons; those from Austria were around 9,400 tons.
