According to statistics, UK’s iron ore imports during the first eight months of 2015 reached 9.32 million tons, dropping by 8.4% on the prior comparable period.

Brazil was the biggest iron ore exporter to UK, shipping around 4.233 million tons; shipments from Sweden were 1.53 million tons; and shipments from Canada totaled 1.29 million tons.

Meanwhile, the country’s iron ore imports in August totaled 1.03 million tons, with average price of US$62/ton.
