Global electric vehicle leader Tesla has been rumored to begin downsizing a portion of its battery department at its Shanghai factory starting in July, mainly due to a reduction in manpower demand caused by automation equipment.

Many Taiwanese screw manufacturers and related precision machinery suppliers have set up factories in China to provide nearby supplies, but they were not worried about the layoffs at the Shanghai factory. They said it will not affect order supply and have no impact on shipping performance.
