In order to immediately meet Thailand's need for auto and home appliance sectors, South Korean Posco has announced plans to start the construction of a new steel-sheet plant.

The vice president of Posco Thailand, Yungh Wan Lee, said that the details of this project will be adopted by September. The beginning phrase of the third plant construction will be completed by October, 2008.

Although the current political situation of Thailand has not been stable, Posco Thailand is still confident of the future of this investment. Lee said that they estimated the export of Thailand was not seriously affected by the political instability.

Their customers are expecting that Thailand shows its powerful export growth, Lee added.
