Nickel price has rebounded on March 27 after a dip in last week.

Although this is just at the beginning of price recovering, it still gives positive signs for mills to bring up the stainless steel price.

Last week the international nickel price fell sharply to US＄45,375/ton, while in this week, it has come back to US＄45,700/ton on 27 and will continuously up to over US＄50,000/ton.

Affected by the new nickel price, both Taiwan and China’s mills are considering to resettle the stainless price. Taiwan’s Yusco and Tang Eng Steel are very positive towards the rebounded nickel price and are very likely to have a final decision of raising stainless steel price.

The changes of nickel price in the next few days will be the key to their price adjustment.

Meanwhile, despite of the nickel fluctuation, South Korea Posco has raised the stainless price for twice and Japan’s NSSC also announced a price increase for their export and import prices by US﹩340/ton.

General speaking, the rebounded nickel price indeed brings positive signs to lead a hiked stainless steel price.
