It is reported that Russia’s Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) has announced to rebuild 2,500mm hot rolling production line.

The company expects the new production line will help to increase production capacity by 25% which to 500 million tons from current 400 million tons.

Meanwhile, MMK has already started to build three high performance of heating furnaces at its No.4 mill.

The first two furnaces are expected to run production by the end of 2011 and the other one will start the production by Q1 in 2012 respectively.

MMK has commissioned Ukraine’s Novokramatorsk for processing equipment and Czech Republic’s ALTA has responded for the main equipment as well.
