It is reported that Eastern Steel planned to restart the operation of its Malaysian flat slab plant in February-March next year and would officially announce by the end of December or early January next year.

The source said that the plant restart was still in the planning phase, there was no formal relevant policy, and the plan to restart the blast furnace plant with the annual output of 700,000 tons, located in the Malaysian Kemaman Heavy Industrial Park.
