Nickel stocks on LME warehouses was reportedly breached 140,000 tons on 1st December, the heavy stock has made nickel price picks up after a series of decline; as a consequence, stainless steel market has become very unstable.

Due to the decreased demand from China, inventories of nickel on LME rose for 3,600 tons on a single day of 1st December; the overall figure of current inventories is not far from the highest record in history that is over 150,000 tons in1994.
