According to the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry of Indonesia, the government has agreed to grant local miners PT Freeport Indonesia and PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara one-year permits to export copper concentrate.

The Indonesian government will issue the export license of 198,282 wet tons of copper concentrate to Freeport, and Amman will obtain the export qualification of 336,100 wet tons. Indonesia's ministry of trade will issue export licenses, according to the ministry's recommendation.

Last year, Freeport received permission from the government to export 1.25 million tons of copper concentrate while Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara received export quotas of 450,826 tons.
