According to foreign media reports, Glencore's Mutanda mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo would cease production.

The mine was the world ’s biggest cobalt mine, and sulphuric acid was the key material for the extraction of copper and cobalt.

However, the difficulty in purchasing sulphuric acid has caused the mine to stop production more than a month earlier.

As cobalt prices fell, costs and taxes increased, Ivan Glasenberg, the CEO of Glencore, decided in August to suspend Mutanda from the end of this year and expect for two years.
