GARMCO is one of the largest downstream aluminum plant in the Middle East, mainly engaged in aluminum rolling, cutting and processing. The company plans to invest US$55 million to build recycling and foundry.

Remelting business will develop GARMCO metal recycling capacity which will increase the company's annual production capacity by 150% to 200,000 tons.

GARMCO acting chief executive officer Mohammed Essa said the new plant is in accordance with the development plan, is expected to harvest the first batch of castings in July, plant capacity will reach its peak in November 2017.

Alkooheji said the project will continue to develop smoothly when the Underground Tour aluminum industry. Manufacturing accounts for 20% of Bahrain's GDP, which could boost Bahrain's exports.
