The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) approved a draft plan to supply raw materials to the metallurgical enterprises in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on October 5, aiming to unify the supervision of the supply of raw materials and ensure uninterrupted supply within the EAEU.

The document was planned to be inked during the next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council this November.

The project involved the cancelation of restrictions on customers’ approaches to scrap, waste ferrous, and non-ferrous metals in the EAEU market, as well as allowing countries to restrict exports.

The EAEU countries were expected to set to work on issues of permits for the collection and disposal of ferrous and non-ferrous metal scrap so as to prevent damage to the environment from next January.
