Reportedly, Taiwan's China Steel Corp. (CSC) will develop high-grade steel products instead of competing with the rivals from China, Japan and South Korea to raise its own capacity in order to be profitable.

CSC planned to invest around NT$240 billion until 2015 to develop itself into a small but profitable, benchmark steel mill.

According to saying of CSC’s newly-appointed president J.Y. Sung, the company will build a Great Wall of Steel by linking its production bases in Taiwan, Vietnam and India, added that CSC's high-grade steel totaled 38% of the entire 2011 output, expecting to rise to 43% this year.

The company forecasted that its sales would increase by NT$1.6 billion in 2012 with the growing output of high-grade steel products, and is predicting them to exceed 50% of total output by 2015.
