According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC), China's unwrought aluminum and aluminum product exports held steady at 520,000 tons in April, a slight year-on-year decrease of 0.3%. However, cumulative exports for January-April dropped by 5.7% year on year to 1.88 million tons.

A standout was alumina exports, which surged by 102% year on year in April to 260,000 tons, with cumulative exports up by 74.7% year on year to 960,000 tons.

Meanwhile, unwrought aluminum and aluminum product imports fell by 3.8% year on year in April to 370,000 tons, and cumulative imports were down by 11.4% year on year to 1.32 million tons.

Aluminum ore and concentrate imports significantly increased by 45.4% year on year in April to 20.7 million tons, and cumulatively by 34.2% year on year to 67.7 million tons.
