Conic Metals Corp., a Canada-based nickel-cobalt producer, announced that it has officially changed its name to Nickel 28 Capital Corp. (Nickel 28), effective at the open of trading on March 10, 2021.

Nickel 28 is one of the few producers that operate a pure-play nickel-cobalt business in Canada. The production of nickel and cobalt comes from its 8.56% joint-venture shareholding interest in Ramu Nickel-Cobalt Operation in Papua New Guinea.

Ramu’s production of nickel and cobalt is sufficient for Nickel 28. The two metals are essential for the production of electric vehicles.
