China's Benxi Iron & Steel is scheduling to commence running its cold rolling mill with 300,000 tons per year in August.

The CR mill is capable to make coils up to the thickness of 0.2mm for applying in the automotive, electrical appliance making, according to a company official.

Benxi Iron & Steel owns its galvanizing capacity of 1.5 million tons per year, which facilities established in 1992 .

The company will combine with China's third-largest producer of the alloy, Anshan Iron and Steel, in a move that could boost production fivefold this year.
