It is reported by China Mining that China’s largest steel mill Baosteel steel orders from auto sector set a new monthly record high of 937,000 tons in May, increased by 50 percent or 317,000 tons compared with last month.

According to China Automobile Industry Association that China’s auto market is recovering and auto sales volume amounted to 1.15 million units in April, up by 24.97 percent year on year.

Baosteel takes up more than 50 percent of the domestic auto sheet market. And Baosteel’s subsidiary company, Shanghai Baosteel International Trade Co sold 285,000 tons of steel to auto sector in January to May.
