According to the data announced by Austrian Institute of Economic Research, Austrian economic growth rate increased by 0.5% quarter-on-quarter in the third quarter. Austrian economy developed in a slow trend but performed better than Eurozone GDP growth rate which was 0.3% below than Austria’s.

Based upon the report, the growth rate in the second quarter was actually revised down from 0.7% to 0.6% while annual economic growth rate remained to grow 2.8% by estimate.

While international trade continued to be tensional, Austrian export trading remained to grow stably based upon the performance in the third quarter. The report indicated that Austrian export relied mostly on European market since around 80% exports delivered to this market.

On the other hand, the US market occupied around 6.8% of Austrian export market though. US’ recent aggressive trade protection policy somehow created certain burden on Austrian economy.
