According to Australian Ministry of Industry, Innovation and Technology recently released a quarterly report on energy and resources, said the current high level of iron ore prices will not be sustainable, the average price of iron ore is expected to fall to US$65.2/ton for 2017; 2018 will be further down to US$51.6/ton.

Although the agency expects the price of iron ore to continue to fall in 2017-2018.
In the short term, iron ore prices will continue to be sustained. China's new infrastructure investment is expected to increase along with limited inefficient capacity, to make the iron ore market prospects more optimistic.
