Aluminum prices on the LME reached record highs this week. This comes after the international aluminum ingot quotations continued to increase in past few months. On January 25 the aluminum price in the LME reached historic highs at US$2, 500/mt. At present the market looks like it could even reach US$3, 000/mt in the near future. Facing the raw material markup, CS Aluminum is in a dilemma to open the new prices. CS Aluminum pointed out that they will observe the market trends before making their final decision. (Jan. 27)
