UK stainless steel base price are expecting to go down in second quarter.

Arcelor Mittal is considering to decrease its base price about €50-100/mt when other main European stainless steel mills would also drop its price in second quarter.

In addition, UK stainless steel service center group's marketing manager Cyril Sparrow indicted, "demand is not falling, but producers have caught up with a backlog of orders".

It seems many UK stockist are expecting stainless steel base price to drop in April.

However, the alloy surcharges for stainless steel have upped as the biggest increase for six months due to strong price of nickel.

The stainless steel prices are expected to stay at high level in near future.
