The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) of India has initiated an anti-dumping (AD) investigation on certain types of tin plates originating in or exported from China, based on an application submitted by the domestic enterprise Easy Openends India Private Limited. This petitioner claimed that the dumped goods from China have caused material injury to the domestic industry, and there is sufficient evidence that can prove it.

The products involved are easy open ends of tin plates, including electrolytic tin plates, measuring 401 diameter (99MM) and 300 diameter (73MM) in dimension, classified under HS code 8309 90 20.

The period of investigation is from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022 (12 months), and the injury investigation period covers April 2019 to March 2020, April 2020 to March 2021, April 2021 to March 2022, and the period of investigation.
