Walsin Lihwa Europe S.a r.l., a subsidiary of Walsin Lihwa, and Special Melted Products Ltd. (SMP) jointly purchased a substantial share in Advanced Manufacturing Holding Limited to deepen strategic cooperation with Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Ltd. (AML) and strengthen its competitive advantages in the aerospace and energy industries.

AML originated from the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre in the UK. It specializes in high-precision processing of stainless steel, superalloys and titanium alloys, and provides advanced component services to companies such as Rolls-Royce and Siemens Energy.

Following the acquisition of SMP in 2023, Walsin Lihwa continued to expand into high-end applications, improving material performance and quality through AML’s advanced machining and digital manufacturing technologies.

Chairman Yu-Lon Chiao said that Walsin Lihwa will combine SMP and AML technologies to promote the establishment of a world-class high value-added alloy platform and consolidate its key position in the global supply chain.
