Vietnam's Yongjin has emerged as Taiwan's top import source of 300 series cold-rolled stainless steel, with imports in 2024 surging by 10.7 times to 31,269 tons compared to the figure in 2023, and prices were competitive. This situation has attracted high attention of Taiwan's steel mills, and they are collecting information and do not rule out taking anti-dumping (AD) measures if necessary.

Vietnam's Yongjin has appeared in the Taiwan market since 2023. Its average price in 2024 was estimated to be lower than the Taiwan market’s average price.

As Taiwan’s importers frequently snatch orders at low prices with Yongjin’s materials, Taiwanese steel mills are highly vigilant and may take AD actions.

Currently, Taiwan has AD restrictions on 300 series cold-rolled stainless steel from China and South Korea. Taiwanese mills had once intended to file a complaint against China-origin hot-rolled stainless steel, but it finally failed due to high dependence at that time.
