According to a notice on May 22, 2025, the US Department of Commerce’s (USDOC) announced its preliminary results finding that certain South Korean producers and exporters didn’t sell cut-to-length carbon-quality steel plate products (CTL plate) at prices below normal value during the period of review from February 1, 2023 to January 32, 2024.

Therefore, the USDOC is rescinding its administrative review for four companies, including Ajin Industrial Co., Ltd., Dae Ik ENG Co., Ltd., Ohsung Co., Ltd., and Samjin Lnd Co., Ltd., based on the of requests of withdrawal by US companies Nucor Corporation, SSAB Enterprises, LLC, and Cleveland-Cliffs Inc.

For Dongkuk Steel Mill Co., Ltd. and Hyundai Steel Company, the weighted average dumping margin was preliminarily found to be zero.

The USDOC is scheduled to announce its final review results no later than 120 days after the publication of this preliminary ruling.
