According to the final Census Bureau data from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US imported around 57,800 tons of mechanical tubes in March this year, increasing by 18.6% compared to the previous month and also going up by nearly 30% from the same month a year ago.

Among them, the imports from Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 15,800 tons, a month-on-month increase of 31.2% and a year-on-year hike of 37.6%. The other major import sources included Canada (around 12,100 tons), Thailand (around 6,100 tons), India (around 5,400 tons), and Romania (around 5,000 tons).

During the period, the import value totaled nearly US$112 million, up by 22.3% month on month and by 69.3% year on year.
